Tabernacle Choir & the King Singers

Sometimes you want to go, but don't to do it. So I made it happen or would have a fit. Missing this Music and the Spoken Word didn't sit. Because of their music, my heart is all lit.
The Days of 47 program by the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra on Temple Square on July 22 & 23 with the King Sings was a sell-out. I didn't have tickets, but wanted to see them. Fortunately, their Sunday program had many of the same songs, so I invited, Sarah, my grand daughter to go with me. What a delight and wonderful performance. If you haven't been go. Every week their program is recorded for 2,000 stations. We got great seats, heard marvelous singing, and the King Singers did their smashing part.
Sarah, wasn't willing to get a photo, so I had to settle for the great hall and choir, which is better. Check it out if you are ever in Salt Lake or the airport. There is a free shuttle to Temple Square and so much more.

Cranky and Cramped in the Canyon

Off to Fairview Canyon, but we couldn't find our group. Drove to every campsite and around each loop. Slept in the truck with no tent or bedding, Oh Poop! We found them in the morning, easy as chicken soup.
This was a matter of "He said, she said!" It had been a few years since we were in Fairview Canyon with Dennis & Cathy. We didn't review how to get to their usual place. Neither of us could quite remember what road in the campground to take. It was the same one they stay at all the time. After traversing the first loop four times and others we knew were not the ones, we headed south. After passing 014, I said, "I think that one is it!" He insisted that it wasn't and wouldn't even check it out. Therefore, we spent the night in the truck, without bedding or tent, because we were going to sleep in their trailer. Ha, ha on us!
I have to admit, it was an very uncomfortable night. I was cold and cramped. Imagine sleeping on an overnight flight, without bathroom facilities, etc. The next morning after eating a cold breakfast, we drove right to the same area '014', and BINGO that was it! This is after 'HE' suggested we try the first loop yet again. From there we rode the Rhino, napped, visited and 'He' admitted fault. Next time, well get directions!!

Sweet Stay in St. Ignatius

Our family reunion was in Montana. We stayed in a log house, not a cabana. Some swam, hiked, jumped and had a banana. Not all came, but we saw Ntl. Park Glacier-ana. This is the farthest we have gone for a reunion. None of us had been to Glacier National Park,(pictures in another post). Prior to the park we stayed on the Cates mountain estate in St. Ignatius, Montana, about 100 miles south of the park. We enjoyed their pool, trampoline, tractor, spacious yard, picked raspberries, strawberries and cherries. Not everyone could go, but those that did had a blast.
On the seven acres there were plenty of things to do and enjoy. Fire pits, eating together, naps, family singing, taking turns fixing meals, bike rides and looking for wild life. From there we went to the Bison Range Park and Mission Dam Falls.
We wouldn't trade this time together for anything in the world.
