He's Henry, The Chapstick Man

I made the mistake of pulling out my chap stick, when Henry was close by. He wanted to put some on, too. I gave him my tube, but he wouldn't give it back. For fifteen minutes or more, he held it close to his lips and no way was he letting us have it back. Here he has it cemented to those tiny lips.
From now on I will have to keep it concealed when he is around. Now that Henry is two and celebrated his birthday a few weeks ago, he says a bundle of words. Not always can we understand him, but it is fun to hear what he thinks of. Chocolate, tractor and a few other words all sound the same. Eventually, we will distinguish the difference.
He looks like such a big boy at the playground climbing up, around and sliding down the slide. It was easy to keep him happy. Even if we stayed all day. What fun to visit and see this beautiful fella. Thanks, Mom and Dad for letting us come.

Mr. Sticky

I call this clingy weed, Mr. Sticky. It adheres to everything and isn't picky.
Hum! How would it taste in a Lime Rickey? Are you insane, that would be super icky.

Payson Temple Visitors

On a lovely Monday morning, we had the blessing and privilege of going on a tour of the new Payson Temple. The open house goes until May 23rd. The lines will only get longer as people travel the sixty or so miles to see this magnificent structure. Payson is a quiet pastoral town on the south end of Utah county. Just off the I-15 freeway it is not noticed as one travels south because of a curve in the road. The northbound traffic are surprised as they come over a rise and see this stately building with sun glowing all around it. It's funny the difference the direction makes. Make it a destination for this month to go.

Coming Up Cotton Candy

Don’t these flowering trees look dandy? My grandkids think it’s cotton candy.
Grabbing a bunch would be so handy, When out for a walk with Henry, Max & Andy.
I love spring with its abundance of blossoming trees. They take turns beautifying the earth during the early months. The last ones are pretty in pink and remind me of cotton candy. The buds will fade away making room for the leaves that follow. Soon the hot winds and heat will take over. Good-bye until next year. Thank you for coming.

When I'm Happy and I Know I Become a Poet

Many trees with their prom dresses on. "Wood" to the dance have really gone. I love when spring sings it's song. Thanks for the colors. Will you be staying long?
The storm's a'coming; Chased our blue skies away. It's extremely windy and everywhere gray. Changed from south wind to north, headed this way. We might get rain. Hip, hip hurray!!

Rickshaw Ride

After enjoying a delicious meal at India House, we spied this old rickshaw out front. It was too old and dilapidated to sit in it, but that didn't stop us from standing beside for a photo.
Some day we will take a rickshaw ride, be it in Salt Lake, New York or India. I can see it now. How fun it will be letting someone cart us around the town, with not a care in the world. Wishful thinking.

Colleen-locks and the Three Chairs

I have been trying out several new chairs to sit in at work. Last week Trudy (our buyer) said to Brent (the boss), my blue padded, arm chair was just 'Too Uncomfortable". She covers at the Front Desk, when I take a break. Within seconds he sent my arm chair out into the hall. Any employee could change theirs for those up for grabs along the hallway. Mine was snatched up faster than candy at a pinata fest.
I went around the office trying out different chairs. This "Big" black one, most of the managers use, had just come in. I sat in it for a week, but my feet didn't touch the floor. It didn't scoot around my desk area, as easily as I needed. It was designed to just sit in looking important and is just "Too Big".
I sat in Brent's chair for thirty seconds, on day one, but it felt too flimsy, with its mesh seat and back. I decided to give it another time tested chance. All week it moved around great, supported my back, but it is just "Too Hard." The boss said, to check out the chairs at an office supply store. Get the one I like. I just might do that. Thank you.
