Kicking Around at the KOA

KOA's are fun places to go when you are camping.  They have miniature golf, playgrounds, swimming pools, community showers, store, bikes for rent, cabins, and lots of places to explore.

At the urging of the children, we rented a four-person bike.  What fun it was to tool around the premises in our surrey with-the-fringe-on-top or almost.

Campfires are for marshmallows, weiner roasts and warmth. Dogs come along with their owners, so we met and petted many.  Miniature golf at $1 per person, was a kid's dream visiting each of the 18 holes no less than ten times.

Now we just need an RV to go with it.

Sizing Up Sushi & Sticks

My friend has been encouraging me to try sushi for some time.  Unless you go with an expert, who knows how to eat it or what is good to order.  I decided it was time to take the leap into raw fish territory.

Some expert friends chose the Red Ginger Bistro, who eased me into their favorite rolls, Crazy Dragon, Play Boy and Rock N Roll.  It was a 'lunch n learn' for me while they laughed at the novice.   Eel sauce, is pretty tasty.

We all enjoyed Chopsticks 101 avoiding the forks as long as possible.  Next stop is Sukana for the 'top of the line' best rolls ever.

Bevy of Bruises

I'm battling a bevy of bruises that seem to appear out of no where.  Can't wear the short sleeves yet, or folks might think I've been abused.  In reality this is a problem of things that go bump in the night.  Possibly furniture and corners that reach out and smack me are to blame.

Clumsiness or crashes happen daily if not hourly.  There is a chance my balance is off, who knows.  Poor memory cannot recall where all these blue, purple or yellowish spots come from.  Observers notice them before I do.
I'm not the only one, many women have the same problem.

Thank heavens for quick healing tissue, making it possible to move on to the next big bruiser.

Framed Photo Finish

At a neices wedding a few weeks ago, young teen photographers of the family ushered us behind this classy frame hung from the old apple tree.  There we had a chance to make the best impression to all that cared.

What a fun idea (probably found on Pinterest) and perfect night for family, food and framing a perfect photo finish.    We faired pretty well.
