So It's Officially Summer

The first day of summer and 97 degrees. Who needs a cold drink or ice, if you please? Folks in some states are begging for a breeze. Don’t forget sunscreen, especially on the knees.

I love the longest day of the year and first day of summer. I especially long for it on December 21st when the sun doesn't rise until 8:30 and sets by 4 something. The car and everything is covered in ice or a snow storm is threatening. Enough of that kind of talk, lets dwell on 97' and climbing.

How delightful to go for a walk with your friends and not a care in the world. Yes, how we love summer, with its gentle breezes, cool drinks, walking purposely through the sprinklers and such. Did I say walking, RUNNING!! Checking your garden every morning for a treat to munch on.

I spied an early morning duck party going on in front of this home. They must have pulled an all-nighter and got sent out the front door as 'Dad' woke up. Hey, guys there's another one down the street at the pond. You are all invited!! Have a great summer!
