So Long Summer, Now Featuring Fall!!

So long super summer, you were dry and hot. Your time is gone and we'll forget you not. Fab Fall is knocking on the door, why not? Soon he'll be standing in the featured spot.

All cold winter and during the drizzly spring, I long for summer and the fun it brings. Now it's over in just a few more hours of this nice warm day. Looking back on the 100 degree stretched out days, it seems like a split second. Except I remember all the fun things we did such as parties, swimming, trips, laughs, lounging on the lawn, laughter, lunches, gardens, mild breezes and so much more.

Autumn and cold are coming without delay. They say the temperature will drop thirty degrees in a few hours now and rain is on the way. We do need the water. The few storms we had this summer were only dirty car ones. The wind blows dust in the air, a few drops of rain fall from the sky. It's enough to dirty your car but not for the down spout to be quenched. Of course, there is no guarantee we will have a wet fall. I'll take pleasant weather, splashes of color and cooler days, though.
