That’s exactly what a bunch of roosters and bantam hens have done with their coop, declared it inadequate. They now roost in the trees that overhang the road I take to work. Each morning like a cluster of grapes, they await the sunshine before beginning their day.
Noticing a ruckus in the branches one day, I was surprised to see a bunch of chickens hunkered down or up a tree, you might say. I stopped that week to take their picture. Who knows maybe they’re having a “Cuckoo’s nest’ meeting. When their tired of perching and ready to eat, I’ve seen them flutter to the ground in a ‘drop & roll’ fashion.
You could say, ‘In the Leafy Treetops the Chickens are Roosting.’ Would 'Up in the Air Junior Birdman' be more like it?
