Lately we've heard about CEO's that have been out for themselves and run companies (large & small) into the ground. Walking away with huge bonuses, stock options and such, is their just due. Not the case where I work, but it didn't matter because:
My CEO was just let go.
We all said, "It can't be so!"
Was he forwarned? The answers, "No!"
Who's next? We want to know.
Is it my boss, the CFO?
We were bought out & told to grow.
By some international guy named Joe.
With all these changes, it's quite a blow.
They say got to have more cash to flow.
Will we lose our 24/7 CIO?
At a farewell event, he told us two great things to remember. You will always have to work, so do it with integrity and honesty. You will make friends along the way, so make real friends that you can trust & trust you. He was all of this and so much more. Thanks, Ken, for being the best example in a boss I've ever known.
